The time interval from to tubal reversal has not been shown to affect pregnancy success rate after tubal reversal surgery. Tubal reversal surgery can be done on women who have had their tubes tied twenty years ago or less than one year. There are many reasons that cause a woman to change her mind and desire more children after a previous sterilization. The desire for more children can happen immediately after or it can happen months or even years later.

Early Pregnancy Symptoms Following Tubal Reversal

Posted by admin | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 08-07-2010-05-2008

Jeannine asks on the Tubal Reversal Message Board for input from other message board members about early pregnancy symptoms with untied tubes. She posts, “Okay, I know you can find out what early pregnancy symptoms are on the web. However, I was wondering if some of the women on the board would share their early pregnancy symptoms and when did they start to experience them (how many DPO).” Pregnancy signs and symptoms differ among women and pregnancies. The most common early pregnancy sign is delayed menstruation. Some women experience pregnancy signs even before their period is delayed. For others, signs or symptoms will not develop over a few weeks or may not even be present at all. Understanding pregnancy signs and symptoms is important for women who have had their tubes untied. Dr. Berger recommends monitoring early pregnancy with quantitative serum HCG assays and scheduling an ultrasound exam when the HCG level reaches 1500. Dr. Berger and his staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center want to be kept informed of all results. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is the only facility that exclusively performs tubal reversal surgery, and it has set a new standard for patient care by following up with patients and providing accurate, up-to-date pregnancy statistics.

Kacy I think it depend on who did your TL. My report said he took 1 cm from each side yet I ended up with 2.5 and 5. I think my Dr. folded my tube in half and cut it. I was expecting much longer tubes than I got. Also it depends on which type of TL you had. I had ligation resection. Your’s sound good though, so I wouldn’t worry at all. I was just glad I had something to work with,

Kacy-
Good luck with your loan. Mine also said 1cm and I ended up with 5.5 & 5. You will LOVE Dr. Berger and his staff… They were the best!!!! No regrets what so ever!!!! The only real problem you will discover is he is the best Dr. you will ever meet and no one else can compare…
Keep us posted and let us know when U schedule…
Lots of Love.

Kacy, unfortunately, I’ve heard way too often that the reports were erroneous when it comes to figuring your lengths. Don’t worry though… there are plenty of short-tubers that get those
BFP’s and I see less of them with blocked tubes, so I guess it’s a mixed blessing. If you are worried, you can chose to have the LAP done to see what Dr. Berger can do before TR. To be honest, it really depends on WHAT kind of TL you had that mostly determines your tube lengths.

Kacy, I didn’t have pathology reports for my TL, but my tubes were coagulated in three places on each tube. Dr.Berger did LAP and was able to continue with reversal . My tube lenghts are L 3.5 & R 5.5 . It’s been 5 months since surgery.

Hi Kacy,
Dr. Berger and the tubal reversal nurses will be glad to go ahead and review your OP note even if you have not scheduled. This will help bring you peace of mind. #1 there is NO Charge for this. Fax it to 919-967-8637 and make sure that you have an e-mail address or telephone number and they will give you results within 24 hours.
Think positive. [Big Grin]

Hi, I just had my TR done today. This is my first time posting to any of the boards. I was told that my TL’s are 6 and 7 centimeters. My age is still a factor, but I’m praying for God to give us a baby. I believe it’s a miracle that TR’s are available to women today.

Some of the reasons are to: relieve symptoms associated with a (PTLS), feel whole again, be like God intended them to be, comply with their religious tenants, relieve regret of a prior mistake, correct a decision made during a past and difficult relationship, or fill the emptiness from the loss of a child or another loved one.
