How Does Someone Get ?

For most women, having a tubal ligation is the end of their reproductive years. Generally speaking, when a woman makes the decision to undergo this type of permanent , she has no plans to have additional children in the future. However, for some women the idea of having more children does become a reality when they decide that they’ve made a mistake having the tubal ligation performed in the first place. These are the women that will be asking the question of whether or not pregnancy is possible after tubal ligation.

Ladies Announce They Are Pregnant This Week After Undergoing Tubal Reversal Surgery

Congratulations to the 11 ladies who announced their pregnanciest this week after undergoing Tubal with Dr. Gary Berger. Although tubal reversal is not right for everyone, Dr. Berger can successfully repair the fallopian tubes in 98% of women who have had a tubal ligation, regardless of the type of sterilization procedure. Over two-thirds of Dr. Berger’s patients become pregnant in an average of 10 months after their reversal procedure.

New Pregnancies Announced This Week at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center

The Weekly Pregnancy Report for Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is published on the Tubal Reversal . During the week of April 19 – April 25, 2008, 20 new pregnancies were reported by Dr. Berger’s patients after their tubal reversal procedures. The women’s ages ranged from 33 to 40, and the fallopian tube lengths after their tubes were untied ranged from 3.0 cm to 7.5 cm. The tubal ligation methods among these women included Hulka clips, Falope rings, bipolar coagulation, and ligation/resection. At present, more than 1000 babies have been born following tubal ligation reversal by Dr. Berger.

Is FSH An Important Factor when Trying to Conceive After Tubal Reversal Surgery?

Carol, a member of the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center members, asks other ladies to share their age and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) levels because she would like to discuss trying to conceive after age 35 and the importance of FSH when trying to achieve pregnancy. An FSH on cycle day 3 can determine if a woman has a good number of healthy left in her ovaries. An elevated FSH level indicates a reduction in the quantity of . A normal or low FSH level shows that there is a good reservoir of for future ovulations.
