The all-inclusive cost or fee for tubal reversal performed by Dr. Berger is $5900 when payment is made in full within 24 hours after scheduling your surgery. This is a $1000 reduction from the standard fee. Some insurance companies may cover part of the cost of tubal ligation reversal.

The Weekly Pregnancy Report for Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is published on the Tubal Reversal Message Board. During the week of April 19 – April 25, 2008, 20 new pregnancies were reported by Dr. Berger’s patients after their tubal reversal procedures. The women’s ages ranged from 33 to 40, and the fallopian tube lengths after their tubes were untied ranged from 3.0 cm to 7.5 cm. The tubal ligation methods among these women included Hulka clips, Falope rings, bipolar coagulation, and ligation/resection. At present, more than 1000 babies have been born following tubal ligation reversal by Dr. Berger.

A member of the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center Message Board posts “I was a member here several years ago. I had my reversal done by Dr. Berger 3 years ago. I had all but given up hope but now I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant at the age of 44!” Many times women age 40 or over who have had tubal ligation are encouraged to undergo IVF with donor egg due to their age. Tubal Reversal surgery with Dr. Berger gives women of any age the chance to conceive a child naturally. In a study performed by Dr. Berger, pregnancy rates after tubal reversal were higher than after IVF within every age group. Similarly, birth rates were higher after tubal reversal at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center than after IVF for women of all ages and the differences increased with increasing maternal age.

This excerpt is a good example of how women support and inform each other on the Tubal Reversal Message Board regardless of where they are from. Many women might feel they are alone in their desire to have another baby after a previous tubal ligation, but when they participate in the message board they realize that they are not alone at all. Many women that come to Dr. Berger for their tubal reversal procedure often state that the reason for having the surgery is that they have regretted having their tubes tied in the first place. It is our mission that tubal reversal surgery with Dr. Berger will restore hope, fertility, and the opportunity to have children for 800 more couples, as we have done each year in the past.
