Whether they want to start a new family or are experiencing vasectomy pain in their testicles, men who have had a vasectomy might decide to get a vasectomy reversal. A more complicated surgery than a vasectomy, a vasectomy reversal re-connects the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles into the semen, according to Mayo Clinic. After successful surgery, sperm are present in the semen again and men may be able to get their partner pregnant. While it is possible to perform a vasectomy reversal no matter how much times has passed since the original surgery, statistics reveal that only about half of are successful.
