Although the DNA in sperm determines sex, it seems that in the never ending battle of the sexes mothers can favour the development of one sex of infant rather than another, a faculty that nature uses to fine tune the sex ratio in Stone Age days to suit times of feast and famine, says the team from the Universities of Exeter and Oxford.

The time interval from tubal ligation to tubal reversal has not been shown to affect pregnancy success rate after tubal reversal surgery. Tubal reversal surgery can be done on women who have had their tubes tied twenty years ago or less than one year. There are many reasons that cause a woman to change her mind and desire more children after a previous sterilization. The desire for more children can happen immediately after tubal ligation or it can happen months or even years later.

Did you know that there is an official way of grading erectile function? Nor did I until recently! It’s called the International index of erectile function (IIEF). It’s used in a newly published study that looks at sexual function before, and after vasectomy.
Researchers looked at 64 men who were going to have a vasectomy. The men were assessed prior to the vasectomy, and 90 days afterwards. The average age of patients was 35 with 3 children.
The average score using the IIEF test was 64.06 before, and 65.64 after vasectomy. The researchers consider this to be statistically significant. Desire and sexual satisfaction gave significant improvements. Overall the researchers concluded that the study results showed that vasectomy caused a positive impact on sexual function in the majority of men who had a vasectomy.
